How does this differ from Compare Two Lists?
This diff checker respects line order and shows where text changed. For common items or missing values regardless of order, use Compare Two Lists.
What do the ignore options do?
Ignore case treats uppercase and lowercase as equal. Ignore leading / trailing spaces skips whitespace at each line's edges; spaces inside a line still count. Your original text is preserved in the display and report. Line endings are normalized; a final line break counts as an extra empty line.
Is my text uploaded or stored?
Comparison runs in your browser. This tool does not upload or save your text. Reloading or closing the page clears the inputs. Reports are plain text summaries, not patch files.
